Lapis and The Valley College of Osteopathic Medicine (proposed) (“The Valley COM”) are pleased to announce the closing of a $16.7 million financing facility.  The financing is providing The Valley COM with funds to refinance its existing mortgage, make internal renovations to its property, purchase certain furniture and equipment, and complete its accreditation process.  The Valley COM is currently seeking pre-accreditation status through the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation.

The Valley COM operates from a ~100,000 square foot facility in the Metrocenter area of northwest Phoenix, Arizona. This proposed osteopathic medical school was founded and is led by two Phoenix residents, CEO Andrew High and Dean Dr. Alissa Craft.  The leadership team aims to help solve the physician shortage by developing osteopathic physicians to serve Arizona communities.
